My future job

I think I have a little portfolio of jobs that I have done in my life. When I was a kid I worked with my mom at the fair, we used to sell succulent plants like Aloe Vera, Agave or jade plant. Nowadays, I work as an accountant on weekends to get some money for my day life. But let’s talk about the job that I like to have in the future. Well it’s fair to say that if I’m studying anthropology right now I would like to work as an anthropologist. But I like other things and I’d like to try different jobs or things to do, maybe combine them with the knowledge that I learned in the career, but I don’t like the idea to be stuck with one thing. I’d like to travel a lot, be outside and learn the things that people can teach me. But If I have to choose a specific topic to study and work, that will be something related to the mapuche people like my mother or my grandmother. I’m going to gather memories and aspects of the social life that have been forgotten in the community of my fam

Should all of us be vegetarian?

Today’s topic is to debate the following sentence: Everyone should be vegetarian. I’m not agree with that, I think that we need a variety of ways to eat in our society, depending on the context. But we also need to considerate that people in the south, in the coast, people without money, etc. All of them don’t have the resources for live and eat without animal feed. And, at least for I’ve seen, their relationship with the animals is so much different than ours in the city. In the end, the things that I learned with m

The process of euthanasia is a difficult topic to discuss here in Chile. That´s because of the strong influence of religion and the conservative politics in the parliamentarians when they legislate this problem. To understand this debate we need to know the different types of euthanasia and it´s differences with assisted suicide and in that base, I will give my opinion. First, there are two types of euthanasia: passive euthanasia and active euthanasia. In that order, the first is when the medic ends up the treatment to extend the life of the patient.  However, the drugs that can suppress the pain of the disease are still using. This form of euthanasia is validated by the Chilean law since 2012, and in others countries too. I think that this form is good, but the efficacy of the process is restrict by the disease and put the will of the individual in seconds place, I mean, if a person wants to end his or her own life, why not they just help him or her to do it quickly.
